Ways to Use Timeclock

Tendrel Timeclock is designed to be used in one of two ways:

• On a shared kiosk device
• On a supervisor-managed device

There is no difference in functionality between these two ways of using Tendrel Timeclock, and there is no need to indicate which method you use within the application.

On a kiosk device

Tendrel Timeclock can be set up as a kiosk. The application can be loaded onto a mobile device or tablet and left at a fixed location. Workers can scan their badge at a given location and select from one of the check-in options. Multiple devices can be distributed throughout your site to seamlessly track work and breaks at multiple areas.

When using Timeclock as a kiosk, the appropriate Worker Role to assign to each login is Device.

On a supervisor-managed device

Tendrel Timeclock can be used on a supervisor-managed device. The application can be loaded onto a mobile device or tablet to be carried by a supervisor. One or more supervisors can scan each worker’s badge as they begin a shift or start a break. The supervisors will be responsible for selecting the appropriate check-in option.

When using Timeclock on a supervisor-managed device, the appropriate Worker Role to assign to each login is Supervisor.
